It is recommended when issues are apparent and helping the end user is required.
Grandstream has released software in a variety of states - from stable, to very beta.
Using beta release software is tempting, but can be a risk.
The edited template file uses an asterisk server ip of 192.168.0.199and a router ip of 192.168.0.15.
There is a known issue with Grandstream phones that have the recent 1.1 beta firmware loaded.
